| About a year after I got
my first guitar (acoustic Sear's guitar - $25.00) Steve Jennings approached me
and asked if I would be interested in stopping over to check out his electric
guitar setup. He was putting together a band and the keyboard player they had
lined up backed out. After he heard me play he asked me if I would be
interested in joining. I immediately borrowed some money from my mom and mail-ordered an electric guitar and amp (from "Lafayette Radio" catalog - $70.00 total). Our first song was "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone" by the Monkeys, shortly followed by "Gloria" (a 60's classic). The rest is history!! |
